Velada Del Año IV x TwinCamPro

Context:

This project began in June 2024, just two weeks before the event. I was contacted by the production company Esto Va Enserio to check my availability for a one-week shoot covering the full setup led by TwinCamPro for La Velada del Año IV, held at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid.

The goal was to document the complete transformation of the stadium — from an empty venue to a fully built event — and capture how everything operated during the live show.

Execution:

The approach was clear from the beginning. I visited the stadium daily to capture the full evolution of the build. A GoPro was placed in a fixed, strategic position to create a continuous timelapse of the setup process.

I worked on-site twice a day — early in the morning and again in the evening. Each visit followed a consistent workflow: checking the GoPro recording, replacing the power bank, and capturing the construction process up close using a Sony FX3. The goal was to build a complete visual coverage, combining wide shots that showed scale with detailed moments of the ongoing work.

Having full access to move across the entire stadium was key, but also a challenge. Navigating a venue of that size — especially during an active build — required constant adaptation and efficient planning.

Once the setup was complete, the focus shifted to the event day. The objective was to document how the entire production translated into the live show — how the space looked, how it functioned, and how all elements came together in real time.

At the same time, I captured the technical crew — lighting, sound, and other operators — to provide a complete perspective of everything happening behind the scenes in an event of this scale.
